Here are some very interesting and up to date infographics (source SearchEngineJournal) on social media growth. While some of the data is US oriented, it is an interesting benchmark and reveals trends that will certainly ripple across the global online world.
Some interesting points to consider that you will see reflected in these infographics:
1) 53% of employers in the US research potential job candidates on social networks
Over a third said that a social networking profile proved they had lied about their qualifications on their CV.
13% claimed a potential employee had made discriminatory comments on their Facebook page.
9% said provocative or inappropriate photographs had been posted on the account of a potential candidate.
2) The number of companies using social media (Facebook, Youtube, Twitter) and blogs for marketing is going through the roof. 71% of companies in the US have a Facebook account.
3) The number one social media in Vietnam is not facebook, it is Zing with over 5 million active users.

Hi,
Thanks a lot for sharing those info.
I have created a website named AllAboutMuine.com , then created a Facebook Page) and twitter account as well. But I must admit that it is a lot of work to keep everything updated. Hopefully, I have found that some tools can be used to facilitate the updates on multiple platform…
Anyway, the main target of my website is to improve the number of visitors and I can see that most of the visits are still coming from Organic visits (google search). It helps me to prioritize and to know that SEO is the main key to the success of my website.
