Good news for all the community managers and SEOs using social media like Facebook. Finally the content is getting crawled and indexed by Google. Google indexing Facebook comments
This does prove that it is more important to have an interactive community (fans commenting, “liking” and “sharing” your content) than a huge number of fans that don’t interact with your Facebook page.
I can’t tell you the number of times I meet with clients, who have all sorts of ideas for their websites. They want videos, animations, complicated images, but they don’t have a clear idea on the most important thing. They don’t really know the purpose of their site. They don’t know who they want to reach with it, what the site is for, and what success of the site is, or even what the Google indexer is and how it affects them.
That’s part of the SEO job, to explain the importance of these points, especially knowing your clients and what are the keywords that can get you qualified traffic. It sure is easier if your clients come to you before they have designed and developed their website rather than afterwards.
